[17:40:09] <Solskogen> felixonmars|M: as many as possible :-)
[18:46:06] <Solskogen> felixonmars|M: do you have any idea why sometimes some deepin apps uses qt5 instead of qt6?
[18:50:04] -!- Wkiktor has joined #archlinux-ports
[18:52:50] <Solskogen> there used to be a sed trick for deepin-terminal, but that was removed.
[18:53:45] <Solskogen> to make matters worse, on x86_64 it finds and uses qt6. but on my aarch64 systems, it tries to use qt5 and fails instead.
[18:56:32] <Solskogen> deepin-editor as well
[19:02:53] <Solskogen> I wonder if I've built stuff in the wrong order or something like that
[19:03:39] <felixonmars|M> they used to use qt5 and still in the process of migrating to qt6.
[19:03:56] -!- rennod has joined #archlinux-ports
[19:04:07] <felixonmars|M> but yes some deps are expected to be updated so it detects qt6 correctly

[19:43:36] <Solskogen> do you have any idea of where to begin?
[20:14:01] <bschnei> DrZee: ICYMI tpowa did a big cleanup of grub where you have an outstanding MR. Unfortunately the package explicitly targets i386 and x64 when compiling, which, when run on aarch64 attempts cross-compilation which won't go far. I've rebased the fork I have and just disable all cross-compilation when CARCH=aarch64. This isn't a proper solution though.
[20:17:27] <Solskogen> HAH! Found the culprit, and it's not what I initially thought.
[20:17:40] <Solskogen> The trouble begins if /var/lib/archbuild is on tmpfs.
[20:17:46] <Solskogen> then it finds qt5 first
[20:24:21] <bschnei> *a proper solution meaning one that generalizes to non-x64 architectures
[21:43:00] <gromit> Solskogen: I looked into rocm-llvm and after a rather simple error I now face another issue
[21:43:06] <gromit> I'll need more time to investigate
