[07:17:38] <JuniorJPDJ> o/
[07:17:50] <JuniorJPDJ> why there are no dual isos anymore?

[07:49:21] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[07:49:21] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[07:49:22] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> easy: I just make sure I have the fastest hardware :-)
[07:49:46] <abaumann> deep43thought: oh, terribly sorry, simply didn't see it in this case.. was sort of in a hurry between two DoSa's.. :-)
[07:51:05] <bill-auger> JuniorJPDJ: there is an open ticket about that https://bugs.archlinux32.org
[07:51:08] <phrik> Title: FS#176 : bring back archiso32 dual boot (at bugs.archlinux32.org)
[07:53:57] <bill-auger> i can not answer "why" - but it is arch32, not arch64/32 - for example, that would entail importing the arch keyring, and handling 64 bit bugs
[07:56:56] <bill-auger> s/handling 64 bit bugs/handling bug reports for software, which the dirsto does not distribute/
[07:58:49] <bill-auger> you can make one though - it is not difficult

[10:13:13] <mistersmee> abaumann: I saw that my patch for go 1.16 didn't work. I think this time it requires something similar to what we do for rust, i.e. rust-bin.
[10:14:10] <mistersmee> When I said I "locally" built, I forgot one important detail, I was building on 64-bit, not in a chroot.
[10:17:23] <mistersmee> Now testing on my 32-bit machine, building with 1.15 fails, with same error-log as we got yesterday. But building with 1.16, that I built on that 64-bit bootstrapped for pentium4, succeeds.
[10:18:41] <mistersmee> So creating a binary "go-bin" 1.16, and adding that as temporary makedepends should get us building again.
[10:21:51] <mistersmee> Once go 1.16 successfully builds, some more broken packages will build successfully automatically, i.e. kubernetes, hugo, etc. Right now they are failing with "required go version 1.16".

[11:08:35] <abaumann> misetrsmee: so, https://github.com says they have a consesus to drop support for non-SSE2, so well, I'll just blacklist go for i486 and i686 and remove the local patching for pentium4

[13:20:31] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[13:20:32] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> I'm all for an docdepends upstreams and a doc hook, in order to reduce all those silly dependencies just to get documentation nobody reads afterwards, because they don't know about the 'man' command.. (rant of the day)
