[09:20:23] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[09:20:23] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> the master (git) on the slave (machine)
[10:03:10] <abaumann> openssl-1.0 is just required by wvstreams/wvdial and john, both I'm rebuilding..
[11:49:42] <KitsuWhooa> I wonder why anyone would want to run john on a 32 bit machine :p
[12:33:27] <abaumann> mmh, yeah. true :-)

[15:43:17] <girls> abaumann: but openssl-1.0 was dropped upstream
[15:43:30] <girls> so we would need to incorporate the complete PKGBUILD, not just our diff on top

[18:15:48] <bill-auger> just to note, someone reported that openssl-1.0 is needed for people to upgrade neglected (~1 year old) systems
[18:18:45] <bill-auger> just as openssl-1.1 is needed to rebuild the mkinitcpio during upgrade to openssl v3, systems which have not been synced in ~1 year will need openssl-1.0 to be present
[18:19:19] <bill-auger> probably arch does not try to support that use-case; but i plan to retain it for a bit longer (and openssl-1.1 probably for another year
[18:21:28] <bill-auger> just cause i know, in practice, many users do not upgrade diligently; and the consequence that missing libe, is a broken boot for many people
