[06:11:34] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[06:11:34] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[06:11:35] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> storing old motherboards: pro-tip, always remove all batteries _before_ storing them
[06:16:21] <abaumann> deep42thought: tons of errors :-(
[06:57:18] <abaumann> but the buildmaster seems fine :-)
[06:57:28] <abaumann> (after cleaning up some deletion list duplicates)
[07:49:06] <abaumann> the buildmaster is still extremely slow. sometimes I wait for an hour just to start a job or so.
[07:49:18] <abaumann> maybe I can give the thing some more memory or something..
[07:49:41] <abaumann> though 100% CPU still indicates some heavy queries are running :-)
[07:50:57] <abaumann> currently some broken packages: mpv, filezilla, gnome, smplayer, ...
[07:51:25] <abaumann> inkscape, libgeom2
[08:01:56] <abaumann> I really have proplems with packages declared as 'any' like libclc. They are not really any (they contain code) and adapting them to subarchs is a pain. 'any' is more the upstream idea of 'we don't care'.
[08:02:29] <abaumann> dleyna, big problems and file conflicts.
[08:08:01] <abaumann> (gnome-photos uses it, typical: everything and the kitchen sink :-) )
[08:08:44] <abaumann> So, let's see if I remove all broken stuff, if I can update the systems..
[08:08:52] <abaumann> ..then I might be able to slowly recover.
[08:09:03] <abaumann> ==> WARNING: No packages remain, creating empty database.
[08:09:06] <abaumann> buildmaster.
[08:09:11] <abaumann> this sounds quite wrong
[08:09:24] <abaumann> when publishing and pushing packages..

[09:29:56] <abaumann> configure: error: C++ compiler cannot create executables
[09:30:03] <abaumann> mmh. broken toolchain?
[09:37:40] <abaumann> aeh, I can build on 486, but not on 686 and pentium4.. failing on libfilezilla..
[09:40:48] <abaumann> clang++: error while loading shared libraries: libLLVM-14.so: cannot open shared object file: No such fil
[09:40:51] <abaumann> e or directory
[09:40:58] <abaumann> ah, cool, it uses clang and clang is broken..
[09:42:37] <abaumann> pushing llvm will break things.. :-)
[09:46:21] <abaumann> I'll rebuild llvm and clang and push them if they build
[09:46:45] <abaumann> I have no clue why certain packages upstream insist on using clang and why using clang/gcc is not a system-wide decision, but oh well..
[09:56:34] <abaumann> -- Found Python3: /usr/bin/python3.10 (found suitable version "3.10.9", minimum required is "3.0") found components: Interpreter
[09:56:42] <abaumann> on 486 I start to get pretty much stuck..
[09:57:01] <abaumann> python has some rust dependencies so I cannot really rebuild python on 486 currently.
[09:57:31] <abaumann> Unknown CMake command "umbrella_lit_testsuite_begin".
[09:57:38] <abaumann> this also doesn't sound good..
[09:58:18] <abaumann> disabling testing in a brutal way might help..
[09:58:39] <abaumann> python-sphinx argh.
[09:59:00] <abaumann> sometimes I think people are just concerned to make nice web pages and not so much about the software actually running.. :-)

[18:11:26] <Vorpal> I'm about to install ArchLinux32 on a Dell Latitude D610, but something weird is going on with the wifi from the live cd: I can see the wifi device in lspci (Intel Pro/Wireless 2915AGB [Calexico2]). But it doesn't show up in iw/iwconfig. Nor is there an rfkill for it, only for the bluetooth
[18:11:55] <Vorpal> wifi has worked in the past for this. It had like Ubuntu 12 or something on it many years ago
[18:12:20] <Vorpal> I can use ethernet for now, but that is not a good long term solution
[18:18:43] <Vorpal> there are lines like "ipw2200: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection"
[18:18:45] <Vorpal> in dmesg
[18:18:59] <Vorpal> ah wait I see "ipw2200 0000:03:03.0: Direct firmware load for ipw2200-bss.fw failed with error -2"
[18:20:57] <Vorpal> I can't find what package is supposed to contain
[18:21:00] <Vorpal> contain that
