[03:00:26] <bill-auger> anyone reading who can run an experiment for me?
[07:58:44] <bill-auger> i686 seems that almost all python libs are built for python 3.10 but python is 3.11 - python-sphinx is one that wont load - np it only has 872 dependents :)
[08:02:29] <bill-auger> 10,000 packages flagged as 'to be deleted'? - is that normal?
[08:07:36] <bill-auger> cant downgrade python either - python-sphinx (built for python 3.10) depends on python-pytz (built for python 3.11)
[08:23:45] <bill-auger> i reverted the entire system to june 01 - all the python family are slithering along happily now (erm then)

[19:15:02] <girls> | pentium4 | delete | 5315 |
[19:15:03] <girls> +----------+--------------------------------------+----------+
[19:15:09] <girls> bill-auger: no idea, whether that's normal
[19:15:44] <girls> note, that this is packages, so a single pkgname may count multiple times, if it's in different repositories
[19:16:04] <girls> also a single pkgbase may count multiple times, if it has multiple pkgnames (i.e. thunderbird translations or so)
[20:39:43] -!- drathir_tor has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[20:45:01] -!- drathir_tor has joined #archlinux32
[22:43:10] <bill-auger> i dont know either - but it looks like 1/3 of all packages will be deleted - that sounds like a disaster
[22:44:35] <bill-auger> aside from that, python support is a disaster
[22:48:54] <bill-auger> just raising some flags, hoping that arch32 doesnt implode - archarm has been frozen for almost a month and the maintainer has not been online or answered any emails about it
[22:50:18] <bill-auger> BDFL maintainer -> sorry situation
