[00:16:11] <lramos-prof> getting into here to ask about an issue with e.g., xfce4-terminal.
[00:16:11] <lramos-prof> it seems that vte3 is incompatible with icu (more precisely, with the last compilation of icu)

[05:14:59] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[05:14:59] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[05:15:01] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> worth a try: apply brute force till proven wrong. :-)
[05:16:01] <abaumann> lramos-prof: see https://bbs.archlinux32.org

[05:16:12] <phrik> Title: [solved] lxterminal looking for wrong libicuuc .. / Pacman / Pacman Upgrades / Arch Linux 32 Forum (at bbs.archlinux32.org)
[05:16:27] <abaumann> same root cause, I might have to make an official announcment about that

[05:42:35] <phrik> Title: Shim packages required for 'icu' / Announcements / Arch Linux 32 Forum (at bbs.archlinux32.org)
[05:42:39] <abaumann> ok, announment done.
[05:44:09] <abaumann> What to do with the multiple issues with the buildmaster? I can try to recover the most pressing issues and make it somehow work again.. mmh..
[05:44:57] <abaumann> adding the pkginfo cache _is_ helpfull if you have to call get-package-updates multiple times a day, upstream packages don't change _that_ often. :-)
[05:45:42] <abaumann> python is still completely broken and needs a bootstrap. python-bootstrap is stuck in build-support somehwere (in limbo).
[06:02:21] <abaumann> builder/work has 280 broken queries.
[06:05:16] <abaumann> mmh. the broken mysql indexes auto-healed?
[06:32:16] <abaumann> mmh. sanity check is ok. I restarted my build slaves, let's see if something happens :-)

[11:10:36] <girls> abaumann: I think, the most pressing issues with the buildmaster are the permanent db failures. I tried to repair an index, maybe that even did something.
[11:12:04] <girls> get-package-updates should only query those package_sources, that it does not yet know about - i.e. each one only once. Only in case of an error + abort, it will generate the sources for all the processed, but not yet persisted pkgbases again. In other words: If the cache is useful, there is some other issue with the packages in git (or the script).
[11:12:32] <girls> I'm not saying, that this does not happen and thus the cache is useless. I'm just saying, we should look into the real issue in these cases ;)
[11:16:57] <girls> $ why-dont-you build python-bootstrap
[11:16:57] <girls> "python-bootstrap" is not on the build list.
[11:18:44] <girls> python-bootstrap *is* already built and in build-support - should there be any more-recent version than the one, that we currently have there?
[11:19:48] <girls> last_moved = 2023-07-09 ... looks like the one, you added / changed in f4d0a6ee
[11:19:57] * girls shrug
