[10:18:26] <buildmaster> Hi abaumann!
[10:18:26] <buildmaster> !rq abaumann
[10:18:28] <phrik> buildmaster: <abaumann> All the times I was debugging some network settings, just to find out, that I tripped a cable. :-)
[10:18:38] <abaumann> # pregenerate C.UTF-8 locale until it is built into glibc
[10:18:39] <abaumann> # (https://sourceware.org/glibc/wiki/Proposals/C.UTF-8, FS#74864)-
[10:18:39] <abaumann> elf/ld.so --library-path "$PWD" locale/localedef -c -f ../glibc/localedata/charmaps/UTF-8 -i ../glibc/l
[10:18:42] <abaumann> locale/localedef: /usr/lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.38' not found (required by locale/localedef)
[10:18:49] <abaumann> this might not be the smartest idea..
[10:19:12] <abaumann> I can build it twice, who needs locales anyway ;-)
[10:19:25] <abaumann> once without locales, then against 2.38 again with locales.
[10:19:42] <abaumann> currently there are quite some toolchain issues to address.
[10:20:24] <abaumann> deep42thought: I'm sure there is a better way to ignore kde-unstable in get-package-updates :-)
[10:25:50] <abaumann> could it be that locales are now generated while building glibc, so they finally managed to break it ABI-wise?
[10:27:25] <abaumann> # have to rebuild twice because generate localdef called in build uses wrong
[10:27:28] <abaumann> # ABI resulting in:
[10:27:31] <abaumann> # "locale/localedef: /usr/lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_ABI_DT_RELR' not found (required by locale/localedef"
[10:27:34] <abaumann> # do not regenerate it and install the one from the chroot
[10:27:36] <abaumann> eval "$(
[10:27:39] <abaumann> declare -f build | \
[10:27:41] <abaumann> sed '
[10:27:44] <abaumann> /localedef/d
[10:27:46] <abaumann> '
[10:27:49] <abaumann> )"
[10:27:51] <abaumann> So, I fixed in the past for similar reasons.
