[12:38:52] <abaumann> have to see.
[12:42:39] <abaumann> let me clean up the mess..

[12:49:23] <abaumann> that's the current list of duplicates (I'm working in some status page right now)
[12:52:09] -!- deep42thought has joined #archlinux32
[12:52:09] <buildmaster> Hi deep42thought!
[12:52:09] <buildmaster> !rq deep42thought
[12:52:10] <phrik> buildmaster: <deep42thought> well, we have too few hands to hold each user's hand ;-)
[12:52:31] <deep42thought> This might still be fallout from my changes to get-package-updates :(
[12:52:47] <abaumann> hi deep42thought :-)
[12:52:58] <abaumann> I'm close to fixing the mirror and db..
[12:53:16] <deep42thought> \o/
[12:53:38] <abaumann> this would actually be good news, because I fail to see what's wrong with python-onnx in the upstream state and package repos..
[12:53:43] <abaumann> ok done.
[12:54:05] <abaumann> btw. generating HTML report pages with shell and M4 is fun.. :-)
[12:54:43] <abaumann> the main problem is that using pkgctl or gitlab clones on the upstream repos is really painful.
[12:55:05] <deep42thought> there was the idea to extend the tarballer
[12:55:11] <abaumann> So, they moved away from big repos like packages and community only to have bandwith limitation in place for the single package clones, ending up even slower.
[12:55:13] <deep42thought> how many repos are to be cloned?
[12:55:18] <abaumann> 11561
[12:55:35] <deep42thought> ah, you're speaking of the repos containing the PKGBUILDs :(
[12:55:37] <abaumann> also, the AUR puts .SRCINFO into the git repo, main packages not.
[12:55:51] <abaumann> so you have to genereate those all withe makepkg
[12:55:59] <abaumann> yes. :-)
[12:55:59] <deep42thought> yeah, I know
[12:56:15] <abaumann> and the state repo has inconsistencies breaking our buildmaster
[12:56:22] <deep42thought> but cloning a small repo should be fast, shouldn't it?
[12:56:29] <deep42thought> ah, the fun
[12:56:31] <abaumann> breeze-icons, linux-api-headers were two candidates.
[12:56:36] <deep42thought> open bugs for those
[12:56:37] <abaumann> but I have a checker for this now.
[12:56:45] <abaumann> to be frank. no.
[12:56:51] <deep42thought> eli might be delighted to fix them
[12:56:51] <abaumann> they should install github hooks.
[12:57:06] <abaumann> the root cause is that people can check in inconsistencies in the first place.
[12:57:12] <deep42thought> yeah
[12:57:22] <abaumann> I make a nice HTML page first, then I can point somebody from upstream to it.
[12:57:31] <deep42thought> :D
[12:57:35] <abaumann> Opening bugs to each and every single package at fault might just generate noise.
[12:57:49] <deep42thought> but it shows, how big the pain is
[12:58:33] <deep42thought> for other cases, I had a script: that checked packages and their checksums and printed nice bug reports for "upstream re-released a package, now the checksum does not match anymore" bug reports, that you just needed to copy-and-paste
[12:58:53] <abaumann> oh, that would come in very handy. :-)
[12:58:56] <deep42thought> one could even ponder automating the "create bug report" part >:-)
[12:59:13] <abaumann> nag-bot 2000? ;-)

[13:00:16] <phrik> Title: generate-bug-report - devops - Archlinux32 devs' convenience-scripts (at git.archlinux32.org)
[13:00:17] <deep42thought> here it is
[13:00:40] <abaumann> cool, I'll have a look.
[13:01:00] <abaumann> I'll open a repository git.archlinux32.org/checker or so and put my stuff onto the buildmaster when finished
[13:01:12] <deep42thought> perfect
[13:01:23] <deep42thought> it could even be a standalone tool
[13:01:32] <abaumann> it is, basically
[13:01:47] <abaumann> in the shell, m4 style in pure retro HTML coding style.
[13:01:58] <deep42thought> :D
[13:02:40] <deep42thought> You would be amazed: I just wrote my first _reactive_ site for private use using cgi+shell for the backend.
[13:02:47] <abaumann> I have to tame it a little bit before it generate all 429 HTTP errors on the upstream gitlab instance :->
[13:02:55] <deep42thought> :D
[13:02:59] <abaumann> oh, react 2024 :-)
[13:03:44] <abaumann> there is nothing wrong with that IMHO
[13:03:53] <deep42thought> exactly
[13:04:54] <abaumann> and M4 as templating language might sound strange at first, but if you ever wrote M4 autoconf macros, not so much anymore..
[13:05:17] <deep42thought> I use M4 to preprocess my music sheets for lilypond
[13:05:26] <abaumann> :-)
[13:05:45] <abaumann> Uh, my irssi complains about OTR key..
[13:05:49] <abaumann> in the private channel..
[13:05:52] <deep42thought> hehe
[13:05:53] <abaumann> speaking of which..
[13:05:59] <abaumann> I have to update keys..
[13:06:04] <abaumann> (soon)
[13:06:10] <deep42thought> oh yeah, please do so
[13:06:20] <deep42thought> and let me know, so I can release a new keyring
[13:06:37] <abaumann> ok.
[13:07:11] <deep42thought> that's perfect forward secrecy: Setting up OTR ensures, that at some point in the future, you will no longer be able to communicate with this party, because all your keys expired ;)
[13:08:19] <abaumann> yea, sadly all communication from 2020 is lost somehow. We now, humnanity used electronical devices, but all communication is now lost to us. ;-)
[13:08:27] <abaumann> \*know
[13:09:00] <abaumann> and all music and art we know only exists in a rough facsimile done by chatcpt on spotify.. ;-)
[13:10:32] <abaumann> ah. but my "stop the eurobuild6 machine in case the buildmaster went insane" worked.
[13:10:40] <abaumann> it didn't work on 'euronuc' though. mmh.
[13:10:57] <deep42thought> why stop it?
[13:11:19] <abaumann> well, the machine does other stuff in dual boot.
[13:11:26] <deep42thought> ah, I see
[13:11:29] <abaumann> so it kicks in, when something can be built..
[13:21:26] <abaumann> oh, I forgot about /srv/http/upstream-packages, those contain PKGBUILD and .SRCINFO :-)
[13:27:46] <deep42thought> yeah, you built that cache :)
[13:27:53] <abaumann> tell me more ;-)
[13:28:00] <deep42thought> "more"!
[13:28:01] <abaumann> I start to get old.. ;-)
[13:28:10] <deep42thought> ah, I thought, it only hit me
